We begin the joyful waiting for Jesus this first week of Advent. Pull out your Advent wreath and prepare your hearts for the joy of Advent!
Free Dental Screening for all students is this Thursday. If you would like your child to receive a free fluoride treatment also, please sign the attached permission form.
Sunday, December 4th, is “ Breakfast with Santa” from 8:00 – 12:00 P.M. Stop by the auditorium after Mass and support the E.C.C. Preschool’s only fundraiser of the year! Enjoy a pancake breakfast, opportunity drawing, shopping at the Holiday Boutique and then get your child’s picture taken with Santa!
Ticket prices for “A Cinderella Christmas” at the Pasadena Playhouse are: Mezzanine section- $35 for kids and $40 for adults. Orchestra seats are $42 for kids and $50 for adults. Please turn money into the office. This event will sell out. Hurry and get your tickets!
O.L.L. Parish Penance Service is on Tuesday, December 13th at 7:00 p.m..
All families are encouraged to make this another family tradition during this holy season. Prepare your hearts for the joy of Advent by receiving reconciliation. There will be about a dozen priests in the church prepared to hear your confession.
ADVENT CONCERT is Wednesday, December 14th at 7:00 p.m. in the church. Your children are rehearsing songs in anticipation of the celebration of our Savior’s birth. Invite your relatives and friends to attend this symphony of your O.L.L. angels! Dress code for students is Dressy Dress so you might want to shop for that Christmas outfit now!
Windy, cold weather is coming! Please send your child to school with his/her sweatshirt/jacket. Make sure the name is clearly on the inside tag! Please check your child’s sweater and jacket. Pack a tube of Chapstick in the backpack too!

Dear School families,
The Christmas season is upon us and the parish is gearing up for our annual Christmas Basket Food Drive. Each year our parish receives requests from local families for help in preparing that special Christmas meal. We are in need of non-perishable goods and canned foods. We have prepared a list of items for each grade level to donate as they are able. Please have your child/children bring in the items no later than Wednesday, December 14th.
Preschool 1 (6 oz.) box instant stuffing mix
1 (13 oz.) box instant mashed potatoes
Kindergarten 2 (12 oz) cans/jars of gravy
2 (10 oz.) boxes of instant hot chocolate mix
First Grade 1 (16 oz.) bag of mini marshmallows
2 (10 oz) cans of soup
Second Grade 1 (18 oz) jar of jam/jelly
2 (7 oz) boxes of macaroni and cheese
Third Grade 1 (16 oz.) box of crackers
2 (14 oz.) cans of cranberry sauce
Fourth Grade 1 (32 oz.) bag of white rice
1 (32 oz.) bag of pinto beans
Fifth Grade 1 (16 oz.) jar of peanut butter
2 (5 oz.) cans of tuna
Sixth Grade 1 (40 oz.) box of Bisquick baking mix
1 (15 oz) can each of green beans or corn
Seventh Grade 1 (26 oz.) package of Instant milk
Eighth Grade 1(18 oz.) box of cereal: oats, corn, or wheat
2 (16 oz) cans of fruit: pears, peaches, etc
Teachers and Staff 1 (16 oz.) package holiday cookies
Please check the “best if used by” date on the packages and cans. We cannot give food that has expired.
We understand that many of us are in need, so whatever you are able to give is very much appreciated. Christmas Baskets’ assembly will be on Saturday, December 17th, from 9:00-12:00 pm. If you would like to help assemble/distribute please call the Parish Office at 818-352-3218.
